Murakami Sensei Seminar: Feb 15- 18, 2011

I just saw on the SKIF-USA website that Sensei Murakami (one of Kancho Kanazawa's right-hand men) will be giving a seminar in Houston in February (25 through 28). I'll pass along more details when I get them. I highly recommend that you attend at least some of the seminar if you can. Also, Kancho himself will be conducting a training tour in June; places and dates aren't available yet.

Kumite

Most of the kumite that we have been doing in class has been video taped at the dojo and there are also video of Kancho demonstrating them. On the side of this blog, go to 2008 posts for many of those videos. You might also wand to look at 2009 posts with the tag, "video training."

Hope this helps.

The Stan Schmidt drill that we have been doing in class is posted on this blog. It can be found here.
